The Soka Gakkai International (SGI) is a worldwide organization dedicated to peace, culture, and education based on the humanistic philosophy of Nichiren Buddhism. Formerly located on Argyle Street, SGI required a larger space as their membership continued to grow. With the purchase of a fine example of modernist architecture as the location for its new Ottawa Area location, SGI Canada engaged CSV to undertake an interior renovation. The result was a transformation of the building from an office space into a place of worship with associated support and administrative spaces.
